Spanish Major

In view of the historical, social, economic, political, geographical, linguistic and cultural ties and relations of the United States with Spain and all of the Spanish-speaking citizens in the United States and neighboring countries in Central and South America, the study of the Spanish language and the Hispanic cultures has become a desirable asset for any American college student.
The Spanish Section of the Languages Department provides students with opportunities to achieve proficiency in the language and acquire a deeper understanding of the Hispanic cultures and literatures.
