Later that day, the community is invited to a lecture and performance of Dr. Jan Younger’s original play, “As Different as a Frog and Grizzly.” The 3 p.m. lecture by Younger, associate dean of the Honors Program and professor of communication and theatre arts, is titled “Historic Perspectives of Mark Twain and Theodore Roosevelt,” the subjects of the play. Also participating in the lecture are Dr. Jerry Martin of Muskingum College, the play's director, and Dr. Doug Collar, assistant professor of English at Heidelberg.

On Friday evening, Nov. 6, following the formal inauguration ceremony, the Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Barbara Specht, will perform its fall concert at 8 p.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ. The community is invited, free of charge.
Inauguration festivities conclude on Saturday with a home football game when Heidelberg takes on Marietta College at Mayer Field on the Heidelberg campus. This will be the first football game played on campus in more than 60 years. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
