Orientation Leaders

Heidelberg University has valued peer interaction in its Orientation program since the 1970’s, when it became one of the award-winning top schools in the nation to use upper-class students to assist with formally welcoming new students to the college through the orientation program Orientation Leaders, known as OL's, are selected during the Spring Semester through an application, references and interview process. OL's volunteer their time to welcome new students to the campus because of the positive experience they had during their own orientation program.

Bethany Alter Middle Childhood Education 2011 Elmore, Ohio	I'm a fun and energetic person. I love to get to know new people. On campus I am a part of the Heidelberg Dance team and Greek Life, as well as various music groups. This is my second year being an Orientation Leader and I look forward to getting to know all the new students. Welcome to the Berg!
Kara Barker Vocal Performance Major/History Minor Class of 2012 Alliance, Ohio	My name is Kara Barker, and I am a Sophomore at Heidelberg majoring in Vocal Performance. I am involved heavily on campus with the Heidelberg Concert Choir, and in Greek Life. I am also a Student Ambassador. I am looking forward to meeting all of the new students and can't wait for the year to begin!
Taylor Bloom Biopsychology 2011 Tiffin, Ohio	Hey there, my name is Taylor Bloom. I am a junior with a focus in biopsychology. I am highly involved on campus, being a part of the cross country/track team, Greek life, Berg Events Council, Alpha Phi Omega, Heidelberg Leadership Academy, and Intersociety Council. I have been on this campus since I've been able to walk, so feel free to ask me any questions.
Corin Cieska Biology (Chemistry) 2010 Perry, Ohio	My name is Corin Cieska. I am a biology major, chemistry minor. I will be a senior this year and plan to go to nursing school. I am a student ambassador and a member of greek life. I love sushi and Vera Bradley bags.
Lynsey Cook Musical Education 2011 Mechanicsburg, Ohio	I'm a junior music education major with an emphasis on the saxophone.
Matthew Curley Political Science/ Criminal Justice 2011 Lakewood, Ohio	I'm a junior from Lakewood, Ohio but I live by Becksville. I'm involved in a couple of groups on campus including Greek Life and the Wrestling Team. I'm majoring in political science and criminal justice in hopes of becoming a US Marshal. In my free time, I love to play Call of Duty and World at War.
Konrad Deeg Physics 2012 Canal Winchester, Ohio	Hey! I am a Heidelberg University student, class of 2012. I am also a member of the Honors Program and the well-populated physics department. When I am  not studying, you can find me enjoying the outdoors, listening to music, or in a lobby playing pool. Welcome to Heidelberg!
Ashley Diemer Music Education Voice 2012 Defiance, Ohio	My name is Ashley Diemer, and I am a music education major. I love just having fun and being crazy! I enjoy the outdoors, swimming, music, and animals. On campus I am involved in Berg Events Council, Alpha Phi Omega, worship, among many other things. My philosophy is “Live life…There is no Take Two.”
Ashley Dodrill Child and Adolecent Psychology/ Crimal Justice 2011 Columbus, Ohio	I graduated from Westerville South High School in 2007. At Heidelberg I have been not only an Orientation Leader but I have also been involved in Student Senate, hall council and women's tennis.
Brittani Grieve Early Childhood Education 2012 Lagrange, Ohio	Hi, my name is Brittani, I'm a sophomore. My major is Early Childhood education. In my free time I love to play volleyball and be with my family and friends. After I graduate I plan to be a Kindergarten teacher.
Heather Guenther Psycholoy/Criminal Justice 2012 Madison, Ohio	I'm a sophomore psychology and criminal justice major. I love the beach!! When not at Heidelberg, I work at Sheetz. But while I'm here during the school year, I’m active in Greek life and the Dance team.
Jaqueline Harmon Biology (Chemistry/Psychology) 2011 Westlake, Ohio	I'm a junior from Westlake Ohio. I am involved in Greek Life, Caring Makes Cents, Intersociety Council and Heidelberg University Cheerleading. I'm majoring in Biology with a Chemistry and psychology minor in hopes of going to medical school. I love working with people and am looking forward to working with the new students at orentation again this summer.
Eric Langston Biology/ Psychology 2011 Marshallville, Ohio	Hi! I'm a biology-pre-med and psychology double major here at Heidelberg. I'm a lead orentation leader this summer (which I'm very excited about!) and I'm involved in Berg Events Council, Greek Life and Homecoming Committee.
Ronald Latimer Psychology 2012 Flint, Michigan	I'm a sophomore at Heidelberg. I'm a psychology major. I'm also a member of the wrestling team. I'm a very outgoing and fun person.
Jacob Lemon Education/History 2010 Oak Harbor, Ohio	I am a senior from Oak Harbor, Ohio. I am on the Cross-Country and Track teams as a distance runner. I love to play guitar and videogames during my free-time. I am currently student teaching for my education major at Buckeye Central Junior High.
Kate Loar Music Education with Vocal Emphasis 2012 Akron, Ohio	I am a vocal music education major entering my sophomore year. I sing in the concert choir and I am a student ambassador. I am also a proud meber of Heidelberg Greek Life!
Cory Martinson Political Science 2012 Brunswick, Ohio	I'm a sophomore at Heidelberg and am from Brunswick Ohio. I attended St. Edward high school. At Heidelberg I am a member of the wrestling team, Heidelberg Leadership Academy, and hope to run for student senate next year. I'm a political science major and legal studies minor. After Heidelberg I intend on attending law school. I enjoy playing sports, hanging out with my friends and traveling around the world.
Dani Merritt Middle Childhood Education (Art) 2012 Lexington, Ohio	My name is Dani Merritt and I will be entering my sophomore year at Heidelberg University. I am currently on the Women's Softball team, and participate in Greek Life, Krieg Hall Council, Aurora Yearbook, Berg Events Council, and Student Ambassador. I am currently a Middle Childhood Education Major for history and math. I am also planning on minoring in art, to hopefully purse a major, and go into Graphic Design. I am an only child, and I will be 19 on June 27.
Sean Moore Communications 2011 Centerburg, Ohio	I am a member of Greek Life, just like about everyone else here. I was a former football player and this is my second year being an orientaion leader. I plan on attending film school after I graduate.
Adam Ohlemacher Business Administration/Accounting 2011 Oak Harbor, Ohio	I am a junior and I am a part of the track and field team, Vice President of Berg Outdoors Club, and a member of Greek Life. I am a double major in Business Administration and Accounting. I hope you all have a great summer and I can't wait to see you all this summer.
Jaimee Olmstead Business Administration/Public Relations 2010 Stryker, Ohio	My name is Jaimee Olmstead and I'm graduating this year with a degree in Business and Public Relations. I'm involved in Greek Life and the secretary of Student Senate this year. Also, I'm in Alpha Psi Omega and do publicity work for WHEI, and I'm in Tau Pi Phi, the Business honorary. Dawn Pfeiffer Early Childhood Education/ISP 2011 McCutchenville, Ohio	I am a junior at Heidelberg University as a Early Childhood Education/ISP Major. I am a commuter and on campus I am involved in Athletic Band and Amigos de Arise, aside from being an Orientation Leader.
Holley Quisenberry International Relations (Spanish) 2010 Springfield, Ohio	I am a Senior this year. I am a member of Black Student Union. I recently studied abroad in Spain in Spring 09. I enjoy shopping, reading and spending time with friends.
Seth Robertson Computer Information System/Accounting 2011 Burton, Ohio	I'm a Junior majoring in Accounting and CIS. I run track. I'm involved in Greek Life and Campus Fellowship. I love Heidelberg and can't wait for this next year.
John Scott Computer Science(Communication) 2012 Columbus, Ohio	My name is John Scott and I am a sophomore. I am a part of the football team and I am a scholar athlete. My major is Computer Science though I found that I like Psychology. I love hanging out with my friends, playing videogames and intramural Basketball. I also love Skittles.
James Sheahan Biology/ Psychology 2012 Painesville, Ohio	My name is James Sheahan and I am a sophomore. I will be graduating in 2012 with my major in Biology and Psychology. I am a football player for the Heidelberg football team. At my time at the Berg I enjoy playing the intramural sports and hanging out with my friends.
Jeremiah Siegel Philosophy 2010 Hiram, Ohio	My name is Jeremiah Siegel and here at Heidelberg I am a Philosophy major. I am also a part of Greek Life, I like to play videogames, card games, sports and hang out with friends.
Regan Thomas History( Film Studies) 2012 Seneca Falls, NewYork	Hey, my name is Regan. I am a sophomore and I am a History major and Film studies minor. I am involved in many activities here at school and I love to travel. I hope to go to graduate school for Museum Studies and I love it here at Heidelberg!
Elliott Toland Business Administration 2011 Richwood, Ohio	My name is Elliott Toland and I am a Business major. I am involved in Greek Life and I highly recommend everyone get involved in Greek Life. I hope everyone is excited for this Summer because I am too.
Brittany Williams Accounting ( Finance) 2011 Marion, Ohio	I am involved in Greek Life and I have played Volleyball at Heidelberg. I work on campus at the Telecenter also. I am involved in Caring Makes Cents Crew as the Treasurer. After college I plan on attending graduate school for Finance.
Naji Williams Political Science/English 2011 Lorain, Ohio	I am a sophomore from Lorain Ohio. I am a member of the Women's Basketball Team. I am also involved in Greek life and a member of Black Student Union. After college I look forward to attending Graduate school to study law.
Brittany Zickefoose Political Science 2011 Newton Falls, Ohio	I am a sophomore from a little town in north east Ohio, named Newton Falls. Here at Heidelberg I am involved in Greek Life, Caring Makes Cents, Campus Fellowship and I am a Cheerleader. I am majoring in political science with aspirations of either law school or political broadcasting. I am super excited for this year and can't wait to work with all the new students and their families.
