The Career Development Office offers services that support students as they begin their journey toward a fulfilling career! A few of the many programs are outlined below, offering comprehensive career development from major selection through successful post-graduation career choices.
One-on-One Career Advising: Career Advisors are available to meet with students one-on-one to explore different career choices, discuss career planning, provide resume and cover letter critiques, and develop effective job search strategies.
Recruiting Month (October): Employers visit campus to interview students for potential full-time employment and internship opportunities.
Mock Interview Day: Students can take advantage of interviewing with a professional in their chosen field to gain valuable feedback. Students can practice their interview skills and make excellent connections with potential employers. Practice graduate or medical school interviews are also offered.
National Career Development Month (November): Highlighted by fun, interactive events which encourage students to make informed career decisions. Features a Resume Writing Contest.
Career Fairs: The Berg/TU Career Fair is cosponsored by Tiffin University and Heidelberg College each spring. Other career fairs include Collegiate Employ-Net, Education Expo, and the University of Findlay/Berg Education Fair.
Career Resource Library: Visit the library to find resources on career exploration, career planning, job searching, graduate school resources, and test placement information.
First Destination Report: Annual report that details placement information for Heidelberg Grads.
