Student Organziation Registration

Below is information on how to register both new and already existing organizations.
 

Registration for Existing Student Organizations

In order to maintain status as a recognized student organization, all groups must submit a copy of the 2009-2010 Student Registration Form, with all fields filled out, to the Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development (CC 306), along with an updated copy of the organization's constitution.

Registration for New Student Organizations

Want to start a new organization? Here's how:

  1. Complete the 2009-2010 Student Organization Form (hard copies of the form are also located on Third Floor Campus Center). Ensure that all fields of the form are complete, and submit a copy of the new organization's constitution.
  2. Turn in the completed form to the Student Senate Liason for Student Organizations Chair's mailbox in the Office of Student Activities Suite (Campus Center 306).
  3. You will then be contacted by the Liason for Student Organizations Chair and asked to appear at a formal Student Senate session in order to present and ask questions about the organization.
  4. Senate will vote to wither approve, oppose, or refer the organization back to commmittee for further review.

Information to be included in a new student organization constitution:

  • Name of organization
  • Mission/vision statement
  • Officer positions
  • Voting procedures
  • Advisor(s) section (procedure for selection, duties, etc.)
  • Amendments
  • Requirements for membership
