Residence Life

Residence Life Staff 2006-207

Our Mission:

The Residence Life Office serves students by providing a safe, living environment for students as well as the resources needed to encourage success in and out of the classroom which emphasize civic responsibility, mutual respect, interpersonal relationships, multicultural understanding, and community engagement.

There is a residence hall or living space on campus to suit every student’s needs. Heidelberg College has six residence halls, two sets of apartments, and Cooperative Learning Communities.

Students living on campus will forge friendships that last a lifetime; learn about different cultures, backgrounds and ideas, gain an understanding of being part of a community, and develop their leadership skills. Residential ling provides students with life skills which are transferable to a career and other aspects of independent living after graduation.

The halls also provide opportunities for group interaction and the development of leadership skills through Inter-Residence Hall Council, Resident Assistant positions, Residence Hall Councils, and attending educational and social programs.
